ICT Achievers Awards ever increasing
Dear Stakeholders
Continuing with the theme, “Making the African Century a Reality”, the 9th Annual African ICT Achievers Awards programme for 2007, jointly organised by ForgeAhead and the South African Department of Communications will kick-off during March in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The programme will commence with focus group discussions to establish if the awards programme is current, applicable as well as in line with what is happening within the ICT environment today. The outcomes of these focus groups will dictate the way forward for the awards programme.
The African ICT Achievers Awards programme is also expanding with leaps and bounds and launches are being scheduled in Swaziland, Nigeria, Uganda Kenya. The Swaziland launch, set to take place at the Royal Swazi Sun during May. The official welcome at this prestigious event will be made by the Prime Minister of Swaziland, the Honourable Themba Absolom Dlamini.
The 2006 African ICT Achievers Banquet in November last year ended the programme in splendour and fanfair. The 15 winners were announced and now has a year's reign as the Top ICT Achievers in their various categories.
