Dr Adesina Iluyemi is a dentist by training with almost three years postgraduate working experiences in a teaching hospital in Nigeria. Dr Iluyemi participated in all aspects of clinical dentistry and involved in the management of patients in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and in multidisciplinary management of clinical cases with general and specialist medical and surgical teams. He also participated in clinical and community health researches and programmes. During this period, he was involved in field studies and survey. Adesina also worked as a research assistant in the setting up a community dental clinic, a continental wide journal for oral health in Africa and a multi-centre survey of dental education in Nigeria. Dr Iluyemi also has experience in implementing and evaluating small scale clinical mobile ICT projects in England. He also has worked in some administrative and managerial capacities. Adesina has experience in carrying out quantitative and qualitative researches and written reports on projects. He has attended and presented in various national and international conferences. Presently, he is undergoing a PhD research degree programme exploring the human and organizational issues in the use of mobile/wireless information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the health systems in developing countries. Dr Iluyemi first and master degrees theses were written on the use of ICTs in health services. |

Barry Dwolatzky obtained a BSc (Eng) in Electrical Engineering, and a PhD – both from Wits. Having completed his studies, Dowlatzky worked in the UK as a post-doctoral researcher in 1997. He also worked at the University of Manchester , the Imperial College and GEC – Marconi Research Centre. In 1989, he returned to South Africa and worked at Wits Unversity, where he is currently a Professor of Software Engineering and Academic Director of the Joburg Centre for Software Engineering.

| George’s career in telecommunications began in 1980 at Telkom where he eventually became an executive for Technology and Network Services. Since 2001, Margaret Zunguze has worked closely with UNFEM as a national consultant on women's use and access to ICTs. She is currently carrying out research in workplace HIV/AIDS policies and programs for twenty organizations in Zimbabwe for SMART Work AED. The goal of the research is to identify best practices in workplace HIV/AIDS policies programs. The research results will be published before the World AIDS Conference to be held in Bangkok in July.
For seven years, she worked as an Information and Communications Specialist with the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) through its regional programs in Uganda , Kenya , Zambia , Botswana , Zimbabwe , South Africa , and Malawi . She became an active member of regional and international organization that encouraged the participation of civil society organizations in the formulation of national ICT Policies to bridge the divide between the rich and the poor. From 2001 to 2003, she headed the Information Services Department of a Gender and Development feminist organization called the Zimbabwe Women's Resource Center and Network (ZWRCN)
From 1997 to 2001, she headed the Information and Communication Department of a Regional Farming System Program called FARMESA, executed by FAO. She was responsible for initiating implementing strategies to gather, analyze and compile information for use by the program in farming systems research including gender
From 1994 to 1996, she was the Information Officer for a Regional Fisheries Project, ALCOM. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1994, she was Assistant Editor Manager for a large educational publishing house, the College press. From 1985-1987 she was a lecture in Microbiology and Biochemistry to Bachelor of Technology student at Laboratory Technicians at Polytechnics. Ms. Zunguze completed the Level in Biology, Chemistry and earned Bachelor of Science degree with special honors in Biochemistry from Hull University , in the United Kingdom . |
