AFRICAN ICT ACHIEVERS AWARDS
11th ANNIVERSARY

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General:

• A nominee, finalist or winner of any category of the African ICT Achievers Awards can enter the same category each year.
• A nominee can be nominated for more than one category.
• A nominee or finalist can serve as a judge as long as it is not the same category in which he/she or the company is a nominee or finalist for.
• The nominee has to confirm acceptance of the rules and basic criteria on the nomination form to be accepted.
• All nominees have to submit either financial criteria and / or references to be followed up by fact checking personnel.


Finalists:

• Finalists need to be available for face-to-face interviews, dates to be announced soon. ForgeAhead do not cover accommodation and travel costs for the face-to-face interviews. In cases where the finalists are not available for the face-to-face interviews, a telephonic or video-conference will be set up. Finalists, who fail to conduct the interview, will be disqualified.
• All finalists will be interviewed and photographed by the media for the Commemorative publication at the face-to-face interviews. Finalist not available for the face-to-face interviews will have to submit a high resolution photograph.
• Finalists will have to be available for a video interview conducted by ForgeAhead during the face-to-face interviews. The video material might be used for media or marketing purposes.
• All finalists will be invited to attend the Finalist Breakfast, where certificates will be handed over, as well as the Gala Banquet where the winners will be announced. ForgeAhead do not cover the travel and accommodation costs for finalists. Finalists who do need assistance with costs will have to submit a motivation to ForgeAhead for sponsorship.
 


Adjudication:

• The Top ICT Minister and category will have no face-to-face interviews and will be scored by on-line judges only.
• Nominees and finalists will be disqualified immediately if any communication has taken place regarding the adjudication process, scoring and or other nominees or finalists with any judge on the adjudication panel. Judges will be in contact with ForgeAhead regarding additional information needed.
• ForgeAhead staff is not allowed to disclose any information to nominees or finalists regarding scores or results of the adjudication.
• Any information required by ForgeAhead for submissions is critical and nominees or finalists who do not submit the information at the given deadline will be disqualified.


Winners:

• All winners are considered ambassadors of the programme and will have to be available for the following year to support all African ICT Achievers initiatives whether as a guest or speaker.
• Winners might be approached for media interviews and it is expected of winners to be available for media interviews for the period of one year.
• Winners will have to serve as a judge on the adjudication panel of the following year, if approached by ForgeAhead.
